1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the RUDX mobile application (“RUDX”, “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall the App and stop using it.
2. Description of the App
RUDX is a companion mobile application designed to connect with RUDX dashcam devices via WiFi.
The App allows you to:
View live video streams from your dashcam
Download and manage recordings
Configure dashcam settings
Monitor driving speed
The App does not record video using your phone’s camera.
3. Hardware Requirements
To use RUDX, you must have a compatible RUDX dashcam device. The App serves as a companion to the dashcam and cannot function independently without the hardware.
4. Account Registration
You must create an account using your mobile number. Verifying your account requires a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS.
You are responsible for the security of your account and must not share your login credentials.
5. Eligibility
The App is intended for users aged 18 and above.
If you are below 18, you may use the App only with supervision and permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
6. User Responsibilities
You agree that:
You are responsible for complying with local laws regarding video/audio recording.
You will not use the App or dashcam recordings for illegal or harmful activities.
You will not record in prohibited or privacy-sensitive areas.
You must not interact with or operate the App while driving if it causes distraction.
You must not reverse-engineer, modify, hack, or misuse the App.
You are responsible for proper installation and use of your RUDX dashcam.
You are solely responsible for all recordings made using your RUDX dashcam and must comply with any legal requirements before sharing or using such footage.
7. Required Permissions
To function properly, RUDX may request access to:
WiFi – to connect to your RUDX dashcam
Internet – for account authentication and updates
Location (GPS) – for speed display (optional)
Storage – to save downloaded recordings
Denying permissions may limit or disable certain features.
8. Fees and Subscriptions (If Applicable)
If paid features or cloud storage are introduced in the future:
Payments will be handled via Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled
No refunds will be issued for partial periods or unused subscription time
9. Safety Disclaimer
Do not operate the App while driving if it causes distraction.
Ensure your dashcam is securely mounted and does not obstruct your view.
RUDX and its developers are not liable for accidents, damages, or legal issues arising from misuse of the App or dashcam.
10. Limitation of Liability
RUDX and its developers are not responsible for:
Loss of recordings or data
Dashcam or device malfunction or damage
Legal consequences due to unauthorized recording
Accidents caused by user distraction
Inaccurate or failed recordings
Connection issues between the App and dashcam
Use of the App is at your own risk. You are responsible for safe driving and legal compliance.
11. Termination
RUDX may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms or misuse of the App.
You may discontinue use at any time by uninstalling the App and requesting account deletion.
12. Updates and Modifications
These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
You are responsible for reviewing these Terms regularly.
