2. About RUDX
RUDX is a companion mobile application that connects to external RUDX dashcam devices via WiFi. The app allows you to view live streams, download recordings, and manage your dashcam. RUDX does not use your phone's camera or microphone for recording.

RUDX may collect the following information:

Mobile phone number (required for registration and login)
Name and email address (optional, for profile)

Device information (for app performance and crash logs)

4. How Your Data Is Used

Connect to and control your RUDX dashcam

Download and store dashcam recordings on your device

5. Third-Party Services
RUDX uses the following third-party services:
Google Play Services – For SMS verification (OTP auto-read)
Our servers (api.rudxlabs.com) – For user authentication and account management
We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Local Storage of Recordings
All downloaded recordings are stored locally on your device.
You may delete recordings at any time within the App or via your device's file manager.
We do not access, view, or share your recordings unless you voluntarily send them to us for support.
7. Cloud Backup (Future Feature)
If cloud backup is enabled in future versions, all cloud data will be encrypted.
Data will be stored only during an active subscription.
You may request deletion of your cloud data at any time.
8. Data Sharing and Disclosure
RUDX does NOT sell or rent personal data. Data may only be shared:
If required by law enforcement or legal authorities
With third-party providers strictly for encrypted cloud storage (if enabled)
With analytics services (anonymized data only) to improve performance
9. User Rights
As a user of RUDX, you have the right to:
Access your account data and downloaded recordings
Delete any recordings from your device
Update or delete your account information
Disable location permissions

10. Data Retention
Downloaded recordings remain on your device until you delete them manually.
Account data is retained while your account is active.
You may request account deletion at any time.
Anonymous crash logs or analytics data may be retained to improve performance.
11. Data Security
Your phone number is verified via secure OTP.
Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
All communication with our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
However, no system is entirely secure. You are responsible for securing access to your device and App.
12. Children's Privacy
RUDX is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
